Spotlight: Mandelic Clearing Serum

The product that started it all. My secret super ingredient. The gentle exfoliant to use every day on almost every skin type. Let’s just cut to the chase, shall we? We’re talking about Mandelic Acid.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a time and place for most exfoliants. But there’s just something about Mandelic Acid that makes it *chef’s kiss* a step above the rest. Technically, it’s an AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid), a class of chemical exfoliants that includes lactic acid and glycolic acid, to name a few. But unlike most AHAs, mandelic has a smaller size molecule, which is basically science speak meaning it absorbs more slowly into your skin, resulting in less irritation, gentler application, and more even absorption into your skin. This makes it perfect for everyday use and most skin types. I always recommend it to my clients in the studio, especially if they have sensitive skin or melanated skin, two skin types that require gentler formulations.
