How to Pop a Pimple the Right Way

Ok, here’s the deal. It’s not entirely true that popping your pimples is the end of the world. You just need to do it the *right* way. So, if — and that’s a big if — your pimple is really, truly ready to go, and if you follow my instructions to a T, then you have my permission to go ahead and pop. But let’s set some ground rules first.

First, your skin must be clean. This is a non-negotiable. Thoroughly remove all makeup and wash your face and hands in a warm shower to help open up your pores. Then, take two fresh Q-tips on either side of the pimple and lightly apply pressure in three different angles. This should release the pimple. If it doesn’t release by the third angle, stop and try again when it’s a little more ready.

Finally, apply a spot treatment to the post-popped pimp and let it be. No touching, k?
