How to Identify Your Acne Type
Trust me as an aesthetician and acne expert when I tell you: all acne is not created equal. There are so many different kinds and causes, and they can’t be treated as one.
You can’t treat what you don’t know, so when I have a new client in the studio with blemish-prone skin, my first step is always to identify their acne type. If you’re struggling with acne of any kind, diagnose your type below before you can plan a proper attack.
Now that you’ve identified your acne type, the real work can begin. In addition to finding the root cause for your acne type, I suggest keeping your skin clean and treating the area externally with mandelic acid as a gentle daily exfoliator. Don’t worry, you’ve got this.
